22 to 25 January 2020, The Ariel Theatre
The Babes and The Hood, written and directed by John Parker, took to the stage with colour, energy and surprised audiences with a twist on a classic (so far it sounds like a dish on Masterchef). It was paired brilliantly with many rock and soul classics performed by musical director Dave Holland and his band of merry musicians.
Robyn Hood was indeed a woman being played by a woman; a strong willed leader of merry men and women who saved the Babes along with the help from her sister Mad Marian and Little John.
The society had many familiar faces treading the boards, and we were lucky to have some new faces join us that we hope to see again for years to come.
We would like to thank everyone who came and supported the society and look forward to seeing you all next time.
